The Small Business Dilemma

I want you to think of your all-time favorite small business.

What makes them special? Maybe it’s a coffee shop that knows to get cranking on your double-shot oat milk latte the second you walk in the door. Maybe it’s a barbershop that has formed countless decades-long friendships. These places are the soul of America, and in my opinion, they have been tragically underserved.

A small business must be nimble. If there’s even an ounce of fat on them, they won’t survive for long. In the time and energy it takes to run that sort of business, there’s no time to worry about the way your company is perceived by your audience. Oftentimes, it becomes an afterthought. Especially when the idea of hiring a creative agency or building an internal creative team makes zero sense from a financial perspective.

So, what happens when your messaging stays on the back burner too long? You go wherever the wind takes you. You are forced to hope that potential customers will get the gist of your operation instead of telling them explicitly why they should love you. To speak frankly, that is a dangerous boat to be in. If you have dedicated your life to your craft, you deserve to be seen and known by anyone who values what you bring to the table.

That is the heart behind Frankly.

The only reason this company exists is to help businesses like these make every dollar that they’ve earned by mastering their craft. The idea of a brilliant business idea going belly up because not enough people knew they existed makes my stomach turn. Particularly if they were forced out by a bigger competitor with an endless marketing budget.

I’ve spent the last half-decade building a framework that gives businesses all of the tools they need to be seen and known with none of the bells and whistles an agency would charge for. If you or someone you know owns a small business, please reach out. I’d love to introduce you to my process and see how we could work together.

Thanks for taking the time to give this a read. I hope to hear from you soon.
